Overview

Amada (India) Pvt. Ltd. was established in April 2000 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Amada Co. Ltd., Japan. It started with an office in Mumbai and now operates from Bengaluru, where it has a Technical Center and a Vocational Center. Its main businesses are the manufacture, sale, repair, maintenance, check and inspection of metalworking machines and equipment.

The AMADA Group's offering covers sheet-metal machinery, cutting machines, grinding machines, stamping presses and micro welding. It also offers software, peripheral equipment, tooling, maintenance and service. In India the focus is sheet-metal fabrication machines for cutting, bending and joining.

Besides the Bangalore Technical Center, there is a North Satellite Technical Center in Faridabad. Sales and service engineers are stationed in Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune and Vadodara. The Vocational Center trains new and existing customers in machine operation, software, tooling, maintenance and machine safety.
