Overview

BMD Foundry Technology GmbH is based in Sternenfels, Germany. It offers moulding machines and systems built to the established BMD design, plus technical support for existing BMD installations. It also offers mechanical and control modernisation, original spare parts, partial overhaul and repair, and maintenance service.

The company was formed in 2013 as an independent GmbH by SOMAKO, which had taken over BMD's moulding technology business from DISA in 2007. It moved from Kürnbach to Sternenfels in 2016. Since 2020 it has been a 100% subsidiary of Ziheng Hengteer, Tianjin, China. The BMD heritage goes back to a mechanical workshop founded in the 1850s.
