Overview

Bonfiglioli Transmissions Limited is the Indian arm of the Bonfiglioli group, which designs, produces and distributes gearmotors, drive systems, planetary gearboxes and inverters. The group serves industrial automation, mobile machinery and renewable energy. The Indian legal entity was established in 1999, and industrial gearbox manufacturing started in 2000.

In India the company has two plants in Chennai. Thirumudivakkam, established in 1999, serves off-highway and wind customers, and Mannur, established in 2011, serves industrial customers. A Talegaon (Pune) plant serves industrial and heavy-duty customers. Wind drive manufacturing began in 2006 and off-highway drive production in 2012. The Chennai Thirumudivakkam site also houses an R&D centre, and a Global Technical Centre has been set up at Chennai.

Bonfiglioli India lists 13 sales offices, a service network of its own engineers and authorised service partners, and a distributor and channel partner network across India.
