Overview

MTE Meter Test Equipment AG was established in Zug, Switzerland, in 1995. It took over the meter test equipment business of Landis + Gyr and has traded under the MTE name since 1996. The company makes test equipment and systems for measuring and certifying electricity meters, test equipment for calibrating EV chargers (EVSE), and transformer monitoring systems.

Customers include electric utilities, meter test laboratories, industrial facilities, and meter and transformer manufacturers. MTE states that it has delivered over 2,500 meter test systems, 25,000 portable test devices and more than 14,000 online DGA units worldwide.

The group has subsidiaries in England, India and the USA, and an affiliated company in China. It also has more than 90 local distribution companies. MTE India (P) Ltd. R&D and production are carried out with the partner company EMH Energie-Messtechnik GmbH in Brackel, Germany.
