The company runs its own tool room with two CNC machines for designing and making moulds and tools. It also has a quality assurance laboratory and an R&D centre. Resin casting quality is checked through glass transition temperature (Tg) analysis and X-ray imaging to detect voids.
Besides manufacturing, Plastofab offers design and engineering support. This includes value engineering, design changes based on FMEA, failure analysis, help with CT/PT selection, retrofit and indigenisation of switchgear and transformer components, and power system network analysis.
