Overview

Precitec is a German technology company working in laser technology and 3D measurement technology. It began in 1971 as a small engineering office. Its 3D metrology headquarters is Precitec Optronik GmbH in Neu-Isenburg, and its laser technology headquarters is Precitec GmbH & Co. KG in Gaggenau.

The 3D metrology range covers point, line, multipoint and area scan sensors, chromatic line scan cameras and medical eye-tracking devices, and the company also supplies OEM sensors. The sensors use chromatic confocal, interferometric and laser photothermal methods. For semiconductor production, the optical measurement technology is used for non-destructive wafer inspection, including thickness (TTV), bow and warp, bump inspection, dicing grooves, wafer bonding and probe card inspection.

The group has its own subsidiaries in 8 countries and agents in another 15. These include Precitec India Pvt. Ltd. in Pune. Service offers cover commissioning support, repair, maintenance, product training and spare parts. Besides metrology, the group offers laser cutting heads, laser welding heads and monitoring, and additive manufacturing (CoaxPrinter).
