Propipes Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. says its story began in 1968, when its founders started work in India's polymer and plastic processing industry. Three generations of the family have carried the work forward. The company was launched as a dedicated entity in 2023 to develop piping technology in India.
The company says it is the first in India to design and commercialise a fully indigenous PVC-O pipe manufacturing line. The complete line covers an extruder, die head, calibration and cooling tank, haul-offs, an infrared heating oven, a biaxial orientation and cooling chamber, a cutting and chamfering unit, and an automated belling machine. The machines use IoT monitoring and automated controls.
Pipes made on the lines are intended for water supply, irrigation and urban utilities. The company also offers IoT alerts and monitoring, preventive maintenance, remote and on-site support, training and spares.
