Overview

Raana Semiconductors Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian deep-tech company founded in 2015. It designs and builds Czochralski (CZ) and Bridgman crystal growth systems in-house, and grows single crystals of silicon, germanium, Nd:YAG and lithium niobate. These materials are used in semiconductors, defence, photonics and solar cells.

The company was incubated at the AIC BARC Anushakti Foundation in Mumbai and has a technology transfer agreement with the Crystal Technology Lab at BARC. Its listed institutional customers include BARC, DRDO, IGCAR, RRCAT, C-MET and India Optel Limited.

For solar, trade press listed on the company's site reports that Raana plans to launch a 12-inch CZ ingot machine for Indian solar module makers. The company's current automatic CZ system on its Technology page is rated for a maximum diameter of 100 mm.
