Overview

RMA is a business unit of AIC S.A., based in Gdynia, Poland. It focuses on laser technology for battery manufacturing. It says it designs and delivers complete production processes instead of standalone machines.

Its work runs in four stages: develop, validate, industrialize and support. Development covers feasibility studies, proof of concept and parameter optimization. Validation is done in the Laser Application Center and includes metallography, tensile and pull-off testing, and validation reports. Industrialization covers standard Battery Welders, custom machines, automation and line integration. Support covers spare parts, service contracts, a hotline and remote diagnostics.

The machines weld materials including steel, stainless steel, nickel-plated copper, copper alloys, nickel and aluminium. They work with cylindrical, prismatic, blade and pouch cells. In India, RMA is represented by Dynotech Instruments Pvt. Ltd. of New Delhi.
