Overview

SMD Rays was established in 2014 by the Kargar family. It designs and builds custom laser machines using laser sources, gain modules and optics from the USA and Europe, with in-house design, CNC and software. The Kargar family's diamond-processing business began in Surat as Sai Impex in 2000.

The company works from a facility in the Surat Special Economic Zone. It reports in-house diamond cutting and processing laser machines, research laser labs, laser source servicing, QC equipment and an assembly zone. It is an OEM partner of Synova (Switzerland) for Laser MicroJet technology.

Customers are named in Armenia, Sri Lanka, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, America and China.
