Overview

Teradyne describes its business as automating two parts of manufacturing: electronic test and repetitive manual tasks. Its automated test equipment is used to check electronics for markets such as healthcare, automotive safety and consumer technology.

The test range covers semiconductor (SoC) test, memory test, system-level test, production board test, wireless test, silicon photonics and optical test, storage test, and defense and aerospace test. The robotics side covers collaborative robots, autonomous mobile robots and hybrid mobile cobots.

The group includes Universal Robots, Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR), LitePoint (wireless test) and Quantifi Photonics (photonics test). Corporate headquarters are in North Reading, Massachusetts, with offices across the Americas, Asia and Europe.
