Overview

THK India Pvt. Ltd. was established in November 2012. Its headquarters is in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The parent company is THK Co., Ltd. of Japan.

THK developed the Linear Motion (LM) Guide and commercialised it in 1972. The group also makes ball splines, ball screws, cross-roller rings, electric actuators and other mechanical components. It also supplies mechatronics products, automobile parts and seismic isolation systems.

THK states that its LM Guides allow semiconductor-manufacturing devices to operate in submicron units and machine tools and industrial robots to move with high precision. The company also offers a low-magnetic-permeability LM Guide for equipment used in strong magnetic fields, such as electron-beam lithography systems.
