Overview
UNICOR GmbH designs and builds corrugators and die heads (spray heads and nozzles) for producing plastic corrugated pipes. The company began in 1984, holds more than 20 patents and is based in Haßfurt in the Mainfranken region of Germany. Over 130 employees work there.
Its machines are used to make corrugated pipes for infrastructure (sewer and drainage, with composite pipe diameters up to 1,800 mm), cable protection, electrical installation, automotive, medical devices and special uses such as household appliances, heating and sanitary products and the food industry. For automotive use, pipes can be produced from 3 mm inner diameter.
The Graz-based GAW group acquired a majority of UNICOR in 2012. Besides new machines, UNICOR offers turnkey solutions, spare parts, pre-owned machines and a service portal (QSERF). The company has trained apprentices since 1986.
